(AsiaGameHub) – Entain is preparing to enter the New Zealand online casino sector, aiming to capture half of the market once regulatory frameworks are in place.
According to CEO Stella David, the organization intends to submit applications for three licenses when the New Zealand government opens the process in late 2026.
Entain anticipates that its alliance with TAB, the country’s exclusive retail and digital sports and racing betting provider, will allow for effective cross-selling of new iGaming products to its established and faithful customer base.
Despite prior cost-cutting initiatives and staff reductions in New Zealand, Entain is dedicated to its growth strategy, expecting online net gaming revenue to rise by 5%–7% after reporting $6.6 billion in total group revenue for 2025.
Andrew Vouris remarked that the company’s current infrastructure and industry expertise offer a robust platform for entering and expanding within the New Zealand market. If successful, Entain may become the sole operator in the region providing a complete portfolio of sports wagering, racing, and online casino games.
